Social Media Manager

Expert in all things social media? Keen eye for creative, reactive opportunities? 

We are looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our passionate marketing team. You’ll be responsible for Checkatrade’s online presence, developing creative and engaging strategies to boost consumer engagement and build our social community. As a standalone Social Media Manager you’ll own the content calendar, social media campaigns and activations ensuring alignment  to wider marketing objectives across multiple platforms.

Location: Based either in Kings Cross, London or Portsmouth, Hampshire. Hybrid working applies – part of the week in the office and part working from home.

Reporting to the Head of External Comms you will own our  social media channels undertaking a broad role across strategy and execution. You’ll work closely with the wider Consumer Marketing team, creative team and agencies ensuring we maximise opportunities arising from brand campaigns and company news. Passionate about social media, latest trends and digital technologies, you’ll seek opportunities to boost our online presence, ultimately building a fun and engaged community of followers.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Sound experience in an in-house or agency role developing social media strategies with the aim of increasing brand awareness.
  • Demonstrable experience of creating, managing and reporting on social media campaigns. 
  • A creative eye for detail scoping new opportunities with exceptional copywriting skills. 
  • Solid judgement and a clear understand of social media’s role in reputation management.
